Welcome to Climate Change Wales

West Wales Eco Centre is a registered Charity based in Newport Pembrokeshire.  We are concerned with the environmental and social impacts of energy use.  The main environmental impact of energy use we are concerned with is climate change.  Scientists have strong evidence that the green house gasses that we have produced are changing the world’s climate.

We want your opinions on climate change!

Are you under 25?

Do you have an interest in climate change?
Why not join the debate about climate change and tell us your opinions - We want to hear from you! The Climate Change Champions for Wales have created a Facebook Group called ‘Our Future, Our Voice'.
This group aims to encourage young people in Wales to:

-          Tell the Climate Change Champions what they think about climate change.

-          Discuss climate change issues and share information about relevant projects across Wales;

-          Give their views on Welsh Assembly Government policies;

 The Welsh Assembly Government has set up the Climate Change Commission for Wales to bring together people from a wide range of organisations including political, business, local authority, trade and others. The commission is chaired by the Environment Minister, Jane Davidson and attended by lots of influential people. It is the Commission’s job to provide leadership for action on climate change and to get agreement on what needs to be done in Wales.

 At least one Climate Change Champion will attend every meeting, and present your views from the Facebook group on behalf of all young people in Wales.

 The current question up for debate is:

 "Is it easier to lower our carbon footprint radically or adapt to living with more extreme weather conditions?"

Why not join in? Visit Facebook, join the group and tell us what your thoughts are!
